• Colour: navy blue with light blue (Shadow Navy / Clear Blue / Gum).
• Upper: suede.
• Lining: textile.
• Outsole: rubber.
• Features: gum rubber outsole (grip on smooth surfaces), Trefoil logo (adidas Originals heritage line), serrated adidas 3-Stripes, suede upper (lighter, richer colour).
• The GAZELLE appeared in 1966 as a training shoe and was the first adidas model with a suede upper — until then, training shoes had been made of smooth leather or fabric. Suede offered two advantages: lower weight and a deeper, richer colour. The model was later adopted by the British football terrace “casual” subculture, the B-boy scene and the Britpop era, while the design itself has barely changed. The serrated 3-Stripes and the suede upper have remained the same recognition marks across the decades.
